Across 2017, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing workplace pensions and auto-enrolment schemes in the headlines. After conducting some research, True Potential Investor has reported that the UK population saved an average of £325 towards their private pension pots in Q4 2016. Some regions have been more diligent at saving than others. In fact, during the same period, Northern Ireland (11%) and London (8%) were the two areas of the UK with the highest proportion of people contributing over £5,000 per month to their retirement.
